Local, Sharing and Actions – Meeting 1

The 2nd Trump administration has hit many Americans as a shock. Amazingly, there are many people that are not aware of the consequences, as Elon Musk as Donald Trump’s proxy is step by step disassembling every agency of the federal government. Or that Donald Trump himself is passing out executive orders that he claims are laws in order to establish a vanilla skinned Christian male hierarchy of henchmen jackals. And these people unawares continue to go about their day. But fortunately, a large segment of the population is aware that justice is being intentionally denied, and that people will die from many of the actions noted above.

A group of my local friends and neighbors gathered to share our thoughts and talk about what actions we can take. We are all aware of the actions taken by an unaccountable rogue agency led by a private citizen who has more conflicts of interest than he has fingers and toes. Our president makes up laws and ignores Constitutional mandates and responsibilities. Congress, led by the President’s political party, ignores their own Constitutional responsibilities in order to implement the President’s agenda.

We initially met as a book club, where we would use the book as an agenda. That lasted about 10 minutes into our meeting. The members came from various political baselines, but all attendees mostly voted for Democrats. Our first meeting lasted two hours and even with some minor differences of opinion, everyone agreed to meet again. After that first meeting, we decided to hold a meeting every other week and eliminate the book component. Our agendas will focus on current events, discussing individual actions and planning future actions. In fact, this article is an action. For our next meeting, our group will have three more people.

These types of local meetings, sharing information and emotions happening across the nation, could mobilize a tremendous number of people to instigate change. I will report here every couple of weeks about how the people of this group are taking actions, and hopefully some readers start their own action groups.
