San Francisco and Sausalito

We stayed 20 minutes from San Francisco at a campsite on the other side of the Golden Gate Bridge so we got to drive over that a lot!  We rented a car because we arrived on a weekend and the buses and the ferry were on a slow weekend schedule. We took a tour bus around the city and everywhere we ate; it was divine.

On the next day we went to Sausalito. A busy place with tons of bicyclists. Beautiful. Walked around the town, then drove to the 3rd oldest lighthouse in America, the Point Bonita Lighthouse. Beautiful. Mitzvah was tired so we thought we’d give her a break and let her sleep in the car. Then we got to a sign that said there were frequent break-ins and not to leave valuables in the car so she came with us. A real trooper, she walked a long way, through a tunnel and then over the bridge to the lighthouse.  Go see it if you can!

The drive back was scenic and gorgeous. Great views of the Golden Gate Bridge. Dinner in Sausalito then back to our RV home.
