Grand Canyon Day 1

This campground, Grand Canyon Camper Village, is not the best. It has a rural parking lot, and they squeeze you in tight. We have 31-foot class C camper and they put us in a half space. I had to do laundry and the top of the clothes washers were dirty.

We had chosen the campground for its excellent location. And there are lots of bunnies living here! I had a delightful conversation with our neighbor, Wendy, and her husband.

Location wise, it has a 5 minute walk to the Grand Canyon free shuttle bus to the park. Then you take other free crowded buses to different sites in the park. We got off the bus and walked to different sites in Canyon. Turns out the reason the buses were so crowded was the day before it was raining, so many people returned today. I really cannot describe the beauty of this place. We had tacos for lunch at the Arizona Restaurant. Then went to an ice cream shoppe. Lots of squirrels around, and they are very bold. They will stand right next to you to scavenge. Saw a gorgeous bird; it was blue. We were at the Grand Canyon from 10am-6pm. One day is not enough. We will come back.
