This is a place I have in my memory well. We traveled through the Rockies to get there. Memorable enough just doing that. Then, the campground! On the Dolores River. We faced a pond they had diverted from the river to use for kid’s fishing area. That was our bedroom window view. Large and so peaceful we decided to stay another night. Had to move our site but ce la vie.
It was hot during the day but dry. We spent the day on the river. I dragged my dog, Mitzvah into the water to keep her cool. She did not appreciate that at all as she hates the water. She and I got pretty filthy, so much fun! I sat in the river. Brad sat on a swinging chair on the bank. We have found in our travels that if you walk a ways through these campsites you will often come to a swinging chair. What fun😀
Then we rented a fire pit and had a camp fire. Of course I had to have not one, but two s’mores. I loved this place so much I want to come back. Can you tell we’re planning another extended trip to CO. Also, Brad just told me Ceder Creek is in CO.
