We arrived in Las Vegas around lunch time so we stopped for authentic Mexican food downtown. The lot was too small for the RV so we parked on a residential street around the corner. I had a Frito pie for first time. I love Fritos, and loved the meal. Chili with red pepper salsa on top of Fritos. The chile had beans, lettuce, onions and tomatoes. I plan on making that when I get home
Our spot in the campground was a nice site under trees. It was cool in the mid 70’s. Brad goes to hook up electrical and the plug had shorted. He said it was safe anyway and since I trust him, we used it. Then my Bissell battery operated vacuum which I had bought for trip died. Bummer
The next day we needed to get into town to buy new plug and of course we have no car. Of course there are no Uber’s. I was telling John, a guy who lives year-round in a cabin with his wife on the campground. He offered us a lift. So glad he did. Very kind! Downtown is 35 minutes away. Las Vegas, NM is a fun little town, nice to walk around. A lot of little shops. We had breakfast at the most popular place in town and unfortunately were forgotten. We were there longer than we expected, but because of that they gave us a free donut. The best donut I’ve ever had. And a side of fresh baked tortillas! Yum!
