After breakfast we footed it to old town, going past the University. Spent time looking around the historical Plaza Hotel and had a drink at the bar. The bartender told us Las Vegas was almost the capital of New Mexico but there were too many killings. It was a rough and rowdy town, even for New Mexico. At one time they were hanging at least one person a day. Then we took a short walk along the Santa Fe Trail that went through downtown. We finally got around to walking to a hardware shop where the salesman sold Brad a 30 amp plug for our RV. John, again was a kind gentleman and picked us up. Thank you John, without you we never would have discovered the Santa Fe Trail.
