Got to New Orleans after yet another Walmart stop. Never realized how many Walmart stores there are all over the country.

We pulled into a very urban RV park. Bare lot, but clean.  The manager was very nice.  Mitzvah only gets in short walks to perform her duties as it’s too small with no shade for anything else. Then we go out for the day. I think she gets a good deal. The A/C motor home. We go out in not only the heat and humidity but also unrelenting downpours.

1st day we went to the info center only to find it is closed Sunday and Mondays!  We landed here on Sunday and are leaving Wednesday morning so that is no help.

Then we decided to try the three dollar trolley.  For three dollars for the day you hop a trolley and take it anywhere.  However since we had no info we really didn’t know where to go.  But we did have a map and decided to go to the Garden District  I thought it would be a garden, but it was an old cemetery full of crypts – memories of Barnabas Collins, my favorite vampire. On the way home the trolley ahead of us broke down so our trolley had to throw switches and we went backward, then forward on wrong side, then back to the right side. It was an experience as we got to see how the driver maneuvered the trolley.  All us tourists were waving to each other as we passed.

Then an early supper. Unfortunately, I went with the recommendations of a CVS employee, thinking someone local would give a good recommendation. Not so, it turned out to be a tourist trap. The food was fair. I’d left my umbrella in the RV but bought a waterproof hat. We got soaked but c’est la vie😀
