From Georgia to Alabama and into the “Deep South”.
The Alabama State Park, Tannehill Ironworks, was amazing. Muddy rivers everywhere (from clay) and flooding along the shorelines. Historic ironworks and another place we could have stayed longer. Our campsite was situated right next to the river, so relaxing listening to the the rushing water. The previous occupant of the site left us a small axe as a souvenir. We took a long walk and happened upon a baby buck. Brad got a good picture. We saw the ironworks used during the Civil War Mitzvah got a nice run in and has now started napping. She was on the alert for first week so she needs to catch up.
