When I lived in Indiana, I used to compare how I voted to being one of George Custer’s soldiers at the battle of Little Big Horn. I lost every battle and we were out gunned in every election. Now that I have lived in Kansas, another red state, I am used to losing. This year, the mid-terms are on tap. I have wanted Pat Roberts out of the Senate for over 30 years, and tomorrow, I hope to kick his ass out of Kansas and back to Virginia where he belongs. The odds are high that he still may retain his seat. Greg Orman will have to prove to me, that he is fair minded, and really above partisan politics. The Star has recommended him as a candidate, and I will be voting for him. If elected, Greg Orman, you will be hearing from me.
For Governor, I think Sam Brownback has had it. He is putting the state on the brink of disaster. Paul Davis will not be a flaming Liberal, but he will do nicely. As for the legislature, heaven help us. They are so far out that they need a key to get back into reality.
Kris Kobach needs to be sent packing. He is an embarrassment to Kansas. He has spent four long years trying to make it impossible for people to vote.
So, tomorrow, I will enter the voting booth and pray that my candidates win. Vote tomorrow, your life depends on it!
